Ever wondered what type of necklace you need to wear with a certain top?

Ever wondered what type of necklace you need to wear  with a certain top? Or you sometimes do not accessorize because you feel that layered jewelries won't look good on that peasant top? No need to worry anymore!!! Here is an exclusive list of what necklaces go with what necklines so you can always look your fashionable best!!! #wink#
Crew neck tops: Your typical fitted top goes best when worn with a bib or collar necklace.Because most times crew neck tops are relatively plain, spice it up with an elaborate bib or a studded Peter Pan collar.
Turtlenecks: If you're going to wear a turtleneck anything but a long pendant or long necklace will work. Anything else is not even worth wearing because you just won't see it.
Sweetheart neckline: Regardless of whether its sleeveless top with a sweetheart neckline or one that has sleeves, pendant necklaces and beaded necklaces go best. Beaded necklaces go beyond wooden or plastic beads. Remember, pearls are beads too.
Scoop neck tops: Similar to crew neck tops except that they hang lower in the front are best when worn with chunky shorter necklaces. This is the time to rock the statement necklaces you have.
Strapless tops: If you're going to wear a strapless top that has an angled top or flat top that doesn't look like a sweetheart neckline then it's time to wear a choker. Chokers can be understated with just a ribbon and a pendant or you can go all out and wear one that's heavier like a link chain choler.
Square tops: Square tops can be a bit harsh looking so to make the look edgier and chic, pair up with an angular or stacked necklace.
Halter tops: The halter style can be found on tops, dresses, vests and even dresses (apron) and are meant to be statement pieces. To keep the attention where it needs to be and to not overpower the top, pair up with a simple, understated slim necklace.
Collar shirts: When wearing collared shirts, the attention is already drawn towards your face. To continue the frame and attention to the face a simple pendants or choker would look best with a collared shirt.
V-necks: To have a sense of continuity and elongate the neckline when wearing v-neck tops. keep the V by wearing V shaped necklaces.
Boat neck tops: Also known as ballerina neck tops, these have a circular neck that goes almost from shoulder to shoulder and look best when worn with long beaded necklaces or long layered necklaces.
Off the shoulder: Whether the top has one shoulder or off the shoulder, you're creating an asymmetrical look. To balance the look, wear an asymmetrical necklace as well. When in doubt opt, for a statement cuff.
Keyhole necks: These types of necklines are fun to wear and show off the peek a boo detail. Avoid wearing any necklaces at all or even earrings. You don’t want any distractions that'll take away from the keyhole. Instead wear a statement ring.
Cowl necks: A cowl neck top already mimics the structure of a necklace. Don't over do the necklace by adding a necklace even a smaller or shorter one to avoid it getting lost in the actual cowl. Instead opt for some statement earrings. As for tied neck (pussy bow) tops, your neck is covered so there's no reason to wear a necklace so therefore earrings are best worn with these too.
Plunging necklines: There is no way around it but with a plunging neckline you can not wear a necklace. It's way too much even if its a small necklace and your statement piece is the plunge. Stick with earrings instead.
As you can see from the list, there are times when a necklace won't even work and you need to resort to another piece of jewelry. But now that you have this handy guide you'll never be confused or look bad again!
Do you only wear certain jewelry with certain necklines or does anything go in your book? Leave a message and let's discuss
